Daniela Lee is the daughter of Chad and Sandra Lee. She has four siblings Adam, Amanda, Christopher, and Mikano. One of Daniela’s favorite family activities is going camping and going to the lake during the summers. Daniela admires her older sister Amanda the most because she seems to have her life figured out and is always there to give her advice when she needs it. In ten years she sees herself hopefully getting married and traveling for a while before having kids. Daniela loves to read, go on walks/runs, make food, and go hammocking in her free time. Her favorite food is steak and her least favorite is asparagus.
One thing Daniela can’t live without is her phone. Her most valued possession is all the sticky notes that she receives from her sister. One of Daniela’s pet peeves is when people chew with their mouth open. If she could travel to one place in the entire world she would go to Greece because she wants to visit the original track in Greece and enjoy the beautiful scenery. In her lifetime Daniela wants to go to law school and become a lawyer, buy a home, settle down and have kids, and travel the world. Daniela has worked as a head lifeguard for three years in Madison. She worked at the outdoor and indoor pool at the Community Center, she teaches swimming lessons, has cleaning duties, and makes sure people don't drown. She also works at Valiant Living as a Direct Support Assistant where she assists people with disabilities in their everyday lives by cooking, cleaning, and doing fun activities.
Daniela has been in Track, Volleyball, FCCLA, FCA for four years, National Honor Society, Girls State, Oral Interpretation, One Act Play, EmPower Youth Leadership for two years. Her favorite extracurricular activity would be track or volleyball, she said it is hard to decide. The most valuable lesson she learned was from Miss. Dockter; “Attitude and effort are essential in everything that I do.” Daniela's best memory from PK-11 grade was all the elementary years of playing kickball during recess and her favorite memory from her senior year is homecoming week when everyone played powderpuff football and volleyball. Her favorite class is English, she says “I learned to love English in middle school when Mrs. Zacharias was our English teacher.” Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Fritz because she has high energy and makes the kids enjoy art and she enjoys being Mrs. Fritz’s TA and assisting her in all of her craziness. Daniela’s most challenging task as a senior is trying to balance her work, academics, and sports life. If there was one thing Daniela could do differently in her high school career, she would have focused more on what she wanted to accomplish for her future and not worry about the little things and just enjoy each moment as it comes.
Daniela will miss the connection that she has with all her classmates when she graduates. Some advice from Daniela to the underclassmen would be to focus on what matters and become the best version of you.
Daniela’s future plans are to attend Oral Roberts University and major in Communications and Business Marketing.
