Senior Spotlight-Jesse Baumberger

Jesse Baumberger is the son of Pete and Julie Baumberger. He has four siblings: Kylie, Kenzie, Bridgette, and Wyatt. His favorite family activity is smoking meat with his dad. T-bone steaks are his favorite food, and the three words that Jesse uses to describe himself are “that’s J bomb”. If he had one wish it would be to make everyone happy.

Something that many people don’t know about Jesse is that he plays baseball. The accomplishment he is the proudest of is getting invited to the Draft Combine. Jesse admires Jesus the most. If he could travel to one place in the whole world he would go to Jamaica, because they have good-looking exotic food. In 10 years, he sees himself playing or coaching baseball. Three things that he wants to accomplish in his life are to have kids, get married, and retire.

During school, Jesse has been involved in football and track for four years and basketball for three years. Football was the extra-curricular activity that he enjoyed the most. He says that football is the 2nd best family I’ve been a part of. His favorite memory from school was when Auston dumped paint all over the playground. His favorite memory from senior year was getting back into the playoffs. Jesse’s favorite teacher was Mrs. Hemmer, because she let them take naps. His favorite class was Zoology where he enjoyed dissecting things. The most valuable lesson he learned from a coach or teacher was “to put your team above yourself.”

Jesse says that nothing has been challenging as a senior. He will miss the underclassmen boys after he graduates. His advice to underclassmen is to have fun!

Jesse’s future plans include getting his business degree and opening his own restaurant while playing baseball at the next level.
