Senior Spotlight- Joshua Garcia

Joshua Garcia is the son of Sharayah Garcia and Chris Cruchfield. He has two siblings Shawn and Sophia. The thing he admires most about his family is that they make sure they get stuff done. Josh says that something that most people don’t know about him is that he is allergic to everything that involves outside! If he could travel to one place in the whole world, he would choose Greenland to go enjoy the beautiful views. Josh’s most valuable possession is the bowling pin he has in his room. It reminds him of the good times he had with the past seniors.

His one wish is to be able to shapeshift so that he can turn himself into whatever he wished. Josh’s biggest pet peeve is hearing someone chew with their mouth open. He says he has a bad habit of picking at my hand when he is bored. The three things that Josh wants to accomplish in his lifetime are building a house, owning his own company, and building another project car. In 10 years, he sees himself living in a nice house with a good job.

During school Josh has been involved in choir and FFA. FFA was his favorite extra-curricular activity because he was able to get out and learn about leadership and how to become more of a family. His favorite memory from his senior year was getting to school and playing music. His favorite PK-11th grade memory was getting hit over the head with a book in sophomore year. Mr. Deutsch was Josh’s favorite teacher because he could make the entire subject that they talk about fun. His favorite class was Ag. He says, “You get to use the tools in the shop, and you get to know the basics of how to use the equipment.” The most valuable lesson he learned during school was to always work hard so you can’t get the things you want. Josh admires Ms. Kay the most because she reminds him of his mother by always being there for him when he needs help.

If he could do one thing differently in his high school career, Josh says that he would put more effort into his schoolwork. The most challenging task as a senior has been trying to keep his grades up. After graduation, Josh is going to miss all the people in school. The advice that he would give to underclassmen is to try all activities at least once, and if you work hard enough and you play your cards right, then your high school career will be easy!

Josh plans on attending a technical school for automotive.
